Root Jellybean on Esteem thread lol.

Theres always way around things to condemn a product for it dosnt have is to believe theres no hope, android is what it is not for it dosnt have its beacause what it does have and what u can still do on it.put it like it this neither of the two titans are a big supporter of flash that being apple and android. my speculation is with so many scripts made by hackers to penetrate into your phone or other mobile devices they rather not even fuss with it.
 
If you dont like mobile sites then why not just use a computer? Problem solved. And honestly I dont see how people surf the web so much on their phones. By the time Google pops up on the phone I could google find and already know what I want on the comp. Look something up, check something out yea. Use it as your main source for internet just sucks with or without flash player. Use a computer if you want the "full" potential of then net.

And like h4x0rj3ff I cant even tell you the last time I actually installed Flash player. I kinda forgot it existed.

yeah people are going to take a computer everywhere with them, and find a wifi connection, come on. Large amount of people buy android over iPhone because of flash, sales are going to drop off for android. you must have a bad connection or something if webpages take so long to load on your phone. I never said it was my main source. I'm not saying Jelly Bean is completely bad just because it has no flash player. Just saying its stupid that it wont, and I my self won't be using it. Flash player may not be a big thing for you and the others that have a thing ofr HTML5, but for average people its why they buy an android, with out it, it makes the phone just another feature phone. And again I'm entitled to my opinion and what i like and don't like.

You do know it's Adobe pulling it and not Android right? To say a whole os is completely bad, for another company's action not the maker of the os ie Android is just.... Yea.....

Oh and ps 3-5mbs up and down is slow. Especially compared to 20-30mbs up and down over my Internet. So no its not my connection its metros speed.

Never said it was Google's fault, I know its adobe, once they got in bed with apple they decided to drop support for android. And now they are even going as far as to pull it from the playstore, If that Doesn't show the corruption in the whole thing I don't know what does. If i was google and my sales dropped off by they killing support, I'd sue them. And before you say there isn't a bases for a law suit I know that. but like every lawyer says, This is America you can sue for anything

I never said the whole OS is bad. there are some ok things coming in it. I like the upgrades to the voice controls.

Exactly. I HATE mobile sites. They suck, also a lot of the youtube content is not available on mobile which is why i go on the desktop site. JB to me seems like a small update. Also you are right about the iphone part...most of my family owns an iphone. I could of owned one too but i loved the flexibilty of android and a physical keyboard. I also loved the fact that it had flash. But then again im just a user not dev so what i have to say doesnt matter.

no disrespect to dev's they give a lot to us, but realistically the users are the ones that buy the phones. You loose the users and there are no phones
 
I uninstalled Flash from my phone a few days ago. I never did bc I thought I needed it to view sites, or else the sites would look "incomplete" in a way. And really; I see no difference at all. Maybe bc I do all my surfing on my laptop, and maybe I would notice if I used my phone for a whole day, to do nothing but surf the web on it, I would notice. But for these past few days, nothing is making me want to go to the Play Store, and re-install it.

no they only use whats installed on the phone. phones with out flash support wont have flash in opera.

For instance, if I had an optimums M, it didn't have flash support, I installed opera on it and still didn't have flash support.

yep aug 15th they are pulling flash player out of the playstore. If you don't have flash installed on your phone you wont be able to install it anymore through playstore, only phones with flash player already installed will get flash support from adobe.

It makes having an android tablet pointless, the point of a tablet is to have a computer like ease but with portability, with out flash player that's taken away. Might as well just get a netbook.

You are totally right. I got my hands on a Nexus 7 tablet two days ago and let me tell you it is night and day compare to gingerbread on the Esteem. I am talking about 5,6,7 applications opened at the same time and that thing does not even feel it. It's freaking amazing. I assume that also has to do with the quad core processor and ram but for what i could see Jelly Bean does not disappoint. I have never tried ICS but there is a big difference between Gingerbread and JB trust me.

As far as flash support i don't think it is that big of a deal that Jelly Bean does not support it.
 
It sucks a bit that flash is not in Jelly Bean but i don't see it as a deal breaker. I am still going to continue using Android. You can see the gap closing between Android and IOS every year. The only place where android needs to catch up is in the apps though. Apple is still the king of gaming as far as i can tell.

Not having flash on a phone I can live with. Not having flash support on a tablet is like not having it on my laptop or computer.

agreed, on my phone the only flash site i usaully go to is YouTube, because i hate the YouTube app. On my tablet almost every site I go to is a desktop site that uses flash, I stream video on my tablet and most of the sites use flash player for video, and I don't mean porn sites.
