Root Jellytime call recording?

As some of you might know I recently caught the custom rom bug in a big way. Have tried most of the roms going for the DHD over the last week (yes, bit of tech OCD...) and settled on the excellent jellytime. I've just flashed the most recent r24 version.

So... I notice on the Jellytime version history that call recording has been enabled. How make work please??

Have tried a few apps from google play and they all only seem to work by recording the mic a la 2.3. Is there some native way to enable call recording or an app that will do it direct from up or down links? Or am i being dull as usual?

I remember quite a while ago, there was a couple of ROM's that, with the right kernel, you could record calls. I never tried the ROM (LeeDroid, I think), but was interested... was told that, with call recording, it was a case of it is enabled ALL the time... could be different now though!

I'll see if I can find you a link... it's an older ROM but, for you to have a bit of a play with call recording, worth a go!

Had a quick look... here is a link to the ROM... I remember being told that the functionality was pretty good (never used it myself)!

It was suppose to be an Android Limitation ? ...have you tried this App >>> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.killermobile.totalrecall.trial

The Mic apps also work fine enough , there is a faint background sound but the recorded sound is pretty clear , ofcourse "Native apps" we cant get

Tried that, works ok but no better than others. Mic isn't too bad but not quite up to the standards I need. Main issue is when bluetooth is on, or noisy environments.

There's a call recording app here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1085725

It should be in the download section of the first post.

iirc, you have to mount it as a System app using Root Explorer or ES File Explorer and even then I recall having issues with it (I'd a 75% success rate).

As far as I'm aware the apps on the market use the mic to record what is coming out of the earpiece? The app above works differently by recording the sound straight from the call itself meaning it's a lot clearer and more (allegedly) reliable.

Not sure if that will help (it's a pretty old link), but it's worth a go. If not, let me know and I'll see what else I can dig up.
