Root Jit

i see this term used in ways such as "JIT enabled" but a quick search doesnt really help find anything about it.

so, what is JIT, what does it do and if its worth 'enabling' how do you enable it.

thanks, interesting read there. i think i will attempt to install this :D

edit:
firstly that was a lot simpler than i expected and second its made my phone almost twice as fast as it was prior to this being done.

thanks again for the help!

the XDA link provides JIT v2 optimized for X10 and it does not work for xperia mini or xperia mini pro. Is this available for mini/mini pro or any tutorial how it can be imported for them ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated !!

Oh, the first time i did JIT i did it through usb debugging with one click. I'm unable to install xrecovery cause I'm not rooted so I guess when I'm not lazy I'll reflash sometime.

I have rooted, JIT'd and xrec'd. but my linpack score remains @ 16ish, have i missed something?! it is vastly improved from factory condition where i was getting about 5, but i see other users all getting 31...(help help - i'm being repressed!) x10i 2.1 eminence rom (tx again x10iuser;)) 2.0.a.0.504
any ideas?!?!?

Followed the install instructions and all went well however I am not sure if JIT V2 is installed properly because is did not create an icon in my apps drawer. Perhaps this is just the way it is, but could someone else confirm? BTW I am rooted, Busybox and Xrecovery working. I did have JIT V1 installed but I removed it before installing V2. The V1 created an icon in my apps drawer so thats why I'm looking for one with V2. Thanks

I don't ever remember having an app. It was a zip file.

Just do some linpack tests. My first one was slow, then they got faster and faster.
