JKay 13.6.2 now out

Now I am using a stock unbranded ROM and Siyah 2.6.12 as kernel. Which one should I download?

ROM is odexed. I've tried 13.5 odexed but CWM aborted installation.

It depends on what ROM you are running now and what firmware it is based on...KK5, KL1, KI4, etc. Then check to see which theme version supports that ROM in post #2 of JKay.

Having Android 2.3.4 means I have KI4? How do I know the firmware of my phone?

Struggling to understand this mod now. Jkay settings come with Checkrom but this is out of date now. How do I update the settings only withouy downloading a Jkay theme? Im using Verts Ics theme from the Kitchen.

Whenever I click the Jkay download link all iy brings up something about circle mod and overscroll glows.
 
Hi Rudedawg!

JKay Deluxe Settings now come bundled with each JKay theme, where as before, they were a separate entity.

This means that to get the JKay Deluxe Settings you have to install the theme as well.

However, in a dim part of my brain, long, long, ago, I seem to remember hawker mentioning something about getting the older Deluxe Settings .apk to work with other themes... or I could be totally wrong. :confused:

You'll have to wait until hawker emerges from whichever gin joint he's in for more info I'm afraid. :D
 
i downloaded a .zip of the settings and all i get is install aborted in cwm :-( . now i have no jkay at all :-(. whats the point of having it bundled with checkrom if its not really that compatible with the main features of the rom? Bloody daft. Guess its bye bye ICS theme.

If you are running CheckROM and have installed the ICS theme, you will need to download and install the, Theme Restorer, from Kitchen Pro before you can flash another theme.
 
As far as I know, that ICS 1.9 theme in the Kitchen is JKay 13.5 compatible, but I've not tried it myself. Most other ICS themes around work on earlier JKAys so you would have to find the appropriate Deluxe Settings app to go with it if its pre 13.3.9. Therefore you would have to weigh up how much you want the theme against the JKay features you would lose out on.
 
Ok guys thanks for the input. You've answered all what I wanted to know. I reverted to stock and Jkay settings let me in again.
Version 13.2.2 was the latest settings Apk I found in the Jkay thread under 13.5.



EDIT: See where I went wrong. I was using my phone to browse. When I clicked 13.5 it would flip out and send me to 13.1 instead. On a PC it downloads 13.5.

Bloody phones eh :P

Sat here, twiddling my thumbs, waiting for CheckROM v6 to be released so that I can flash this. :rolleyes:

on a good note my phone is behaving better now it switches off etc :) still seems too not clear batt stats though. edit -( just fully change a dead spare batt and the batt stats are normal and resetting :) it seems that my batt was faulty will get it replaced)


Getting a refurbished 8.9 Tab on ebay :)
 
JKay's themed versions for v13.6.4, both odexed and deodexed, are rolling out big stylee! :D:D:D

(Knickers! He's leaving my favourite theme until last! Doesn't he realise that I've got things to see and people to do! )
 
I just tried to install Revolution HD V3 out of the kitchen (JKay 13.6.4) and I ran into an issue. Originally I installed it after I installed .3 and it worked fine for a few min, then the radios stopped working and the Baseband version read "unknown", so I decided to wipe, run the romnuke and reinstall CheckRom V6 then install Revolution HD V3. Everything worked great while I was setting my phone back up, I was doing one last thing (changing the camera storage to SD) and the phone rebooted and when it started back up sure enough the radios where offline and the Baseband Version read "Unknown" again.

Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on here, I love Revolution HD!
