A bit of a problem opening JKay 13.4.1

When app is pressed, I get "upgrading of settings failed. Please uninstall this apk then reinstall"

This is where my problem starts :

It does not show in my list of apps on the phone.

When I attempt to uninstall the apk via astro file,tells me uninstall not successful

can anyone help ?

Have you tried downloading and re-installing your JKay 13.4.1 theme?
 
Certain themes you need to clear data, manually uninstall the app then re flash the theme.
May be worth giving this a go if you don't get any joy out of ironass' suggestion

Clearing cache and installing the theme did it.

I thought JKay.apk was stand alone. Didn't realise you HAD to have a theme installed ! I actually referred the icons I had beforehand on the quick settings panel.

Still getting to grips with everything though. After months of hesitation, finally took the root last week ..........
 
The app used to be separate but it is now built into the theme's flash file.
And you also need a jkay compatible theme to fully utilise the myriad of configurable options the deluxe app gives to you.
 
Sorry guys, spoke too soon.

Still having a few issues.

How do I deinstall JKay manually as I have no option anywhere else to do so.
 
menu>settings>applications>manage applications>all

select deluxe settings
clear data
uninstall

If you dont get the uninstall option, then do so via titanium backup
 
Yep, no option to uninstall after clear data.

Is that Force remove app (by recovery exploit) in TB ?

When I reinstall, is it correct to install the apk first and then boot to cmw and install the Xwkk5_JKay_Stock_Deluxe_ThemeV13_2_deodexed.zip ?

Jkay 13.2, the .apk was separate, so if your on this, then download the deluxe settings apk and install it, then flash your theme.

Jkay 13.4+ has the apk inbuilt, so only the theme requires flashing as the app will be installed during the theme flash.

You also need to be aware of your firmware version, and ensure this matches the theme's firmware version
 
Im so sorry to keep coming back on this.

Its getting late and I fear I am complicating things too far.

In the Android System info app under Fingerprint, it mentions XWKK5

Under settings, baseband version it states XXK14

Which version of JKay do I need as both seem to be offered !
 
As your on CRR 4.0 then you have KK5 firmware.
Latest JKay themes for KK5 come under the KL1 umberalla
