Jkay themes on standard k14

Sorry this might sound a stupid question but can i use jkay themes on standard k14 firmware. i am rooted. also is standard firmware odexed or deodexed.
 
Themes usually state which firmware base(s) they're built on, so if there's a KI4 version of JKay's one you're good. Stock firmwares are odexed.
 
I tried installing the green circle theme with cwm but it came up with an error message and the installation was aborted. this has happened several times
 
According to his release notes the XXKI4_***_odexed themes should work with stock firmwares. Maybe redownload in case the original was corrupt or incomplete?
