Joining the Bionic masses

I've tried all firmwares leaked and official for the phone. Stock and all ROMs. I'm in an extremely strong 4G area so that isn't the problem.

After 6 months of headache and lack of development I decided to call Verizon to complain. I got a Rezound replacement for free.

So your Bionic is gone?

If there were still problems with 5.9.902 installed I would suspect a problem with the device itself and perhaps (just perhaps) something you had installed on it.

There have been a few people (two actually) who had a body chemistry that was incompatible with the Bionic. in one case he would type on the keypad and it would insert extra letters. He would hand the phone to someone else who would type the same thing with no problems.

So ... is your Bionic gone?

Thankfully, I might get a data drop once every 3 days. The only headache for me is that I have to completely shut the phone down and restart to regain data. I've tried the airplane mode off/on method to no avail.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Bionic. I also came from a rooted Eris, my first Android device. Be sure to turn on LTE in the settings menu. Then download FoxFi and your Bionic becomes a wonderful high speed Wi-Fi hotspot. To replace the HTC Sense clock/weather widget, I finally settled on Fancy Widgets. To conserve space with only five screens, use folders. I strongly recommend Folder Organizer, which enables lots of customizing including nested folders. Using this app, I get by using only three of my five screens.

For accessories, I recommend the Moto extended Battery. Then charge only every 2-3 days! Also, if you drop your phone, it will always land screen-up, after energy is dissipated when the back and battery go flying. I've now dropped my Bionic twice, once on concrete and once on terrazzo. No case, but no harm done. I also recommend the car dock. It makes navigation really convenient.

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I pretty much have my phone set up to satisfy all of my wants/needs. I've yet to find a good swype-like photo gallery widget. But that isn't a show stopper for me. I think I will give the Folder organizer a spin though.

Thanks!

Per your recommendation, I just installed it. I will report back once I experience the drop again; whether it works or not. Thanks!

Ok it's been a while but just minutes ago I had my first data drop. Believe it or not the data enabler widget worked! Thanks Thom!
