Hello everyone. This is my first post. I was wondering if I need to root my phone inorder to use juice defender? Or is it possible using it without rooting? I just recently bought my first droid and im kinda hesitant to root it, though eventually i will soon Thank you.

First no juice defender doesn't require root, the paid version I heard is better then the free .it does drop your data connection when the screens off.
Second I suggest Pete's Motorola root program easy and quick, good news if you didn't know the Droid has a unlocked bootloader enjoy.
