trying to make my Gnex Battery last as long as possible. Got JuiceDefender (free) ... is it worth it to upgrade to the pay versions? Thanx... Or does anyone have any battery saving tips I should know about. I got the extended battery btw.

What type of use do you typically put your phone through? The reason JD didn't do much for me, is because I'm typically streaming a lot of radio, etc, so for me, it wasn't as efficient to be worth it. But even the free one can free up a good bunch of battery if you aren't constantly syncing or needing data on.

To really get the most out of jd you need to use the advanced or customized setting and play around with it.

i use JD Ultimate. I think it is worth it but it depends on you as a person. there are a lot of ups... you can hae JD connect to your Wifi when your near it automatically and back to your 4g when your away from your house. you can have it Disconnect all Data while the screen is on and turn it back on when you turn your screen on to work on your phone... you can also have it turn data on ever 15 minutes lets say to let your apps check for updates like FB twitter etc. you can customize certain apps to keep data off or on when your in that particular app regaurdless of the phones screen being on or off. like lets say you were facebooking and you set the phone down and the screen turns off. the app will force JD to continue data streaming. or if your reading off your kindle app, you dont need internet connection so you can make it so your Data connection is turned off to save you battery life. will also adjust screen brightness for you.

Basically it can control EVERYTHING on the GNex. i like how every thing is customizable and user preferences are ALWAYS priority. So like if your at your house and your Wifi is messed up. you can turn off Wifi and 4g will stay on untill you turn it back to wifi. JD makes user preferences always top of the list.

Down side... well some people dont like it cause if the data connection is off in JD and you turn your screen on it will some times take a few seconds for data to come back on. but thats also a setting. mine is set to always search for wifi for 15sec after which if non is found jump to 4g

so i hope this helps
