Help jumpy in twitter and Facebook?

Everything is buttery smooth in almost everything I do with this phone except for twitter and Facebook and maybe a few other apps I can't think of.

Any reason why they are a little jumpy even with the gnex having graphical acceleration?

If you go to Settings, Developer, and check the box to force hardware acceleration, twitter is smooth as butter. I think that twitter just needs to update their app to use hardware acceleration.
