Help Junk mail since update

Hi all,

Have my emails to my phone and since update I'm getting all the junk mail notifications to which I never had?? Anyone can help me on stopping this please and just get my normal mail to pop up only again.

Have you installed any new apps? Signed up for any new accounts or services?

I am extra careful about what apps I install for this reason alone. Not every developer is honest and not every developer is super careful with the data they collect about all of us users. Some sell email addresses, phone numbers, etc and others don't have the proper security measures implemented to handle our information, which is that much easier for a hacker to get their hands on and turn around and sell.

I'm not saying this is the case, but think back to when this first started. Did you install any new apps that may have had some permissions they really didn't need? Did you create an account that required your email address?

Also, I know that not all servers are set up to trap spam server-side. Does your Outlook have these messages in the spam folder? If so, these messages may actually be in your inbox on the server and Android is not filtering them out like your Outlook.

No nothing new installed and it has only happened since the kit kat update. Never had my junk mail filter to my mobile and strange how it only started since update. Might uninstall it and try again.

That is very strange indeed.

I wish I could help more, but I cannot think of any other reason spam would start due to an OS upgrade.
