Just a few questions.

I don't have much time to look through all the forums right now, so I am veryy sorry if these questions have already been asked here.. I got my Aria last night. ( yayy no more failphone) anyhow, When I am on a call, I get the sms text sounds in my ear and its bloody annoying. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening? Also, it seems as if my friends/family on Verizon cannot send me pictures; has anyone had this problem? I was calling HTC to talk to them about it, but honestly I don't have 40 minutes to sit on hold at the moment. Haha. Any help is appreciated <3

It seems there's no setting to disable this unless you're using a 3rd party SMS app like Handcent.

I have sent pictures to Verizon and they've gotten there fine but haven't tried the other way around. I'll have someone send one to me and get back to you.

Yeah, I can send them to people with Verizon no problem. Just are not getting the pictures that they are sending to me, thanks :D

Going to grab handcent <3

go to settings/sound & display/ringer volume there is an option for notification volume in there... try that and see if it works

Alright... the Verizon picture issue. When I receive the issue and I tap it it for whatever reason skips to another text from another person. However, if I long press the message itself(not the picture) it pulls up a menu and allows me to save the picture. That's the only way I got it to work.

I don't even get the picture to show up in a message- it's as if the message doesn't send to me at all and gets lost on the way or something. Haha. Perhaps I should try calling HTC- the wait time earlier was very crazy long- maybe it's gone down by about 30 minutes!

Once I save the image I can open it fine. So if you're not even getting the picture I think it's an isolated issue with your phone. I wouldn't be surprised if HTC tells you to do a factory reset.

Only thing I can think of is shutting the phone down and pulling the battery for about 15 seconds.

So, on the phone with HTC right now- they are telling me it's a problem with ATT network, but that doesn't make much sense to me as I didn't have problems on my iphone4. They suggested I call AT&T- and maybe they can figure it out.

Man Ohhh Man, I feel like I did with Apple vs AT&T on dropped calls w/ iphone. Hahaha.

I hate the finger pointing game... However I can see it being AT&T's problem as well. Sometimes systems get jacked and prevent phones from doing certain things. However, like I said... try the battery trick first. It's surprising how often that fixes problems.

Yeah- Im going to try that before calling ATT again, I was on the phone with them a bit earlier due to voice mail issues.. Thanks for your help =]

Okay so- I've gone back and forth from ATT and HTC all day. I just now got through with the 4th person from ATT. This is getting frustrating, haha. It started off as not being able to receive picture messages from Verizon numbers and has ended up at not being able to receive picture messages from anyone. Sighhh. ]= This is taking away from my cute learning the phone process. Haha.

I get them fine as email attachments... not sure what the problem is though, kinda odd really.

Well, after talking to about 10 att reps and 3 htc reps.. It seems as though the Aria blocks mms messages from verizon unless it comes through as an email? Or that is at least the final answer they gave me. Haha. Which really sucks as most of my friends are with verizon, wish someone would of told me this BEFORE I bought the phone.
