Hi. There's a few questions I would liked answered if possible. Im not interested in rooting my phone so please let me know if there are apps or methods to my questions in order to resolve them. Thanks alot.

Themes. Can this phone display actual themes without rooting?

Different tones for notifications. I cant seem to add different tones for text. Voicemail and the rest of the notifications. Even the crapiest metro phones can do it. Is it possible with this phone to do so?

Lastly. The markets have tons of apps. Is there an app or something that lets you know when new apps come out?

Any reply is appreciated.
 
Themes: You can theme to an extent. Almost all the themes available in the Market are for either Go Launcher EX, Launcher Pro or ADW. These change the appearance of everything but your notification bar.

Sounds: Sounds need to be placed in specific SD Card folders to be recognized by the system.
Alarms/ - Media scanner classifies all media found here as an alarm sound.
Music/ - Media scanner classifies all media found here as user music.
Notifications/ - Media scanner classifies all media found here as a notification sound.
Podcasts/ - Media scanner classifies all media found here as a podcast.
Ringtones/ - Media scanner classifies all media found here as a ringtone.

New Apps: Not that I'm aware of. I can't think of anyone crazy enough to take on that task. We may see only the popular stuff, but hundreds of items come out daily across different phones and different regions.
 
You can search through the Market itself using the name of the one you want to look for and the word theme. I'm sure there are some dedicated theme sites around, but I don't know of any. One for Go Launcher EX is not likely yet, as it's the newest but the popularity is growing rapidly.
 
Ringtones, you can assign different ringtones per contact.

Notifications, you can assign different notifications for SMS's if you use GO SMS or Handcent.
