all you need to do is flash the original, unrooted, kernel to your phone, via odin.

I gave you that answer and the direct download to the correct kernel, here:-

Follow the same instructions that you used to root your phone in, "Rooting for Dummies", post #2, here.

just noticed the large font. sorry. i wrote it somewhere else and copy/pasted it.

flashed the new kernel. so baseband is now i9100xxki7.
as im having trouble connecting to keis via usb i just tried the "about phone" route again and

IT WORKED!!!!

after successfully upgrading to 4.0 ive attempted rooting again with my new 4.0 firmware using ODIN. it was successful. started to load with yellow triangle and then just stayed on the boot screen.
so i reflashed the kernel to get me back to stock and that was also successful.
it started to load without the yellow triangle and now im stuck on the boot screen again,
tried to flash it again with the stock just incase something didnt work but not had any luck. im stuck! HELP

Are you using an ics cfroot kernel? If the cfroot kernel is for GB it will put you in a boot loop

sorted it. found an older stock kernel and did the normal update
