Just another new guy

Scoren

Lurker
It said to introduce myself so,...

I just came to learn about rooting my LG Optimus V with Virgin Mobile. I am new to android so I may have some stupid questions when I read directions but I promise to use google before I do :D.

Scoren, welcome to Android Forums! :D

#1: NO ONE here is "just another" person. We all bring our experiences and skill levels with us, to help and be helped. That's how we all grow better together.

#2: The only stupid question is the one not asked. Ask away: ESPECIALLY with something like rooting/ROMming, you definitely want to ask a lot of questions and know what you're doing BEFORE you try it.

If you need any help, don't hesitate to seek it. We're here to assist...

It's great to have you aboard! :)

Welcome to the forums.
Hope you can you foot tour device without any problems :D
If you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask.:D

Thanks Chief and Liamo!

It will be a while before I think about ROMs. For now I just want to get rid of the bloatware so I can install apps without "low on space" popping up.

From what I see it should be simple with Gingerbreak for me. It just seems a little too simple.... I know I will freak out waiting for it to reboot:D
