Its been a very stressfull weekend since I bought the damn thing. I found a cheap vodafone dhd and went for it. I knew it could be rooted and unlocked but never imagined it would be so tiresome.
I have an unbranded desire and rooting and installing a cfw was a breeze. Hell was I wrong thinking it would be similar. Ive been searching and reading like my life depended on it. Goldcard (3 tries before nailing it) Downgrade (1.75 vodafone to 1.32) S-off, radio off, my ass off, clockworkmod, if I want as2d+ need to upgrade clockworkmod to 3.2.0.0 and not done yet.... For christ sake, i cant take more! I was about to install the cfw and decided to stop here since the damn thing is rooted and simfree now. should i stay like this or just finish the cfw crap? what real benefits would i get from going with the cfw? the only reason i went for the rooting with my desire was as2d and free cel memory. The dhd seems to have a decent amount of internal memory. Any advice welcomed!
