Root just bought my 2nd esteem, need help.

Just purchased a used lg esteem and I am seeing Superuser installed in Applications. Does this mean that the phone is already rooted? Should I unroot to be safe and begin a new process?

Phone info:
MODEL: lg-ms910
Version: gingerbread 2.34
MS910ZVC-M7X30-AABBQMLYM-4040
Kernal: 2,6.35.7-perf lgearnd3u5#1
HW: 1.1

Okay, so i attempted to unroot and after it sends zerglings the command prompt closes, my phone does Not reboot. I tried rooting the phone, and it freezes at " daemon not running" "daemon started successfully". Now the phone does not want to unroot at all. I'm not getting anything.

I downloaded latest drivers and rebooted, my pc recognizes the phone, loads my sdcard, internal storage.

try doing it this way...a little longer but at least it will get you where you want to be-Stock C unrooted-then reroot if ya want:D

lol. yes im trying to root the phone, but Superuser is already installed.. i have no idea if im rooted or not, all the metro bloatware is there.. I want to flash custom roms to this phone. Nothing is working... My other esteem was loaded with ZVB and the process worked perfect. ZVC is giving me problems
 
Well, i downloaded an app called Root Check Basic and it says my phone has root access, i tried installing root explorer and it installed as geocaching though?
 
Before installing zvc 1.4 , i followed this.

How to flash a custom rom.

1- Once downloaded, its recommended to download it from your computer and place it on your phone, put it on the root of your internal or external sd cards. Root meaning not in a folder.
2- Reboot into recovery using Quick Reboot.
3- Using your volume keys to scroll and your power key to select, scroll down tand select "Wipe data/Factory Reset" then scroll to "Yes" and select.
4- Scroll down and select "Wipe Cache Partition" and then select "Yes"
5- Scroll down and select "Advanced" and select "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and then select "Yes" then scroll down and select "Go Back"
6- Sroll down and select "mounts and storage" then scroll down and select ONLY these 3 listed, "format data" and then select "Yes", then scroll down and select "format cache" and then select "Yes", then scroll down and select "format system" and then select "Yes". Then scroll down to and select "Go Back"
7- Then scroll down to "Install Zip From Sd", if you put the ROM on your external SD card select "choose zip from SD". If you put it on your internal scroll down and select 'choose zip from internal". Then after you selected one of those depended on where you put the ROM, scroll down and select the ROM and then Select "Yes".

And am now receiving No Sim card and emegency calls only, also i just noticed that whenenver I press the power button, the phone freezes for 2 seconds then ics boot screen will display for 5 seconds, the metro welcome message will play and boot into the lock screen
 
Before the guy sold it to me, he mentioned somethign about removing the sim card so i placed it in the slot when i got home. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.

That's huge man...why he would do that is beyond me. Could be the reason all your issues began.

power the phone off...pull battery...is your SIM inserted as the pic shows-if not insert it to match the pic-power up and see whats up
