Just called 45 Best Buys in 5 different states

Hey guys just thought I'd share that I called over 45 Best Buys today in MI, OH, IL, IN, and WI and only two stores had EVO's one in Chicago (which is a 5 Hour drive for me) and one in Kohler WI they each had 1 white EVO.




Im in located in Metro Detroit. I have a Best Buy credit card that is why I am going through them.


That is all.

No offense - but if you have the time to call 45 stores for one phone, then you have too much time on your hands. Its a phone...there will be more stock eventually.

There's some GREAT golf courses up in Kohler, you could make a fine time of it! Get an EVO, play both courses at Black Wolf Run then head over to Whistling Straits (home of the 2010 PGA Championship). And, after heaving shelled out a fortune on greens fees your EVO would look cheap! :D
 
I got my second one all the way in denver CO (I'm near St Louis)...... granted I was only an hour away for a business trip...... :)

Well, I am on a waiting list for a best buy about 30 mins away. I guess I will just wait.

I have family in WI that is why I called so many BB's from MI to WI. It would give me an excuse for a road trip.
 
What makes this so hard is that in June a Sprint rep told me that I could get my upgrade a month early (July 1st) and then when July 1st came around I talked with 4 different Sprint reps and they all told me that the original person was basically full of it!! Even though I had found EVO's back then.

So I guess I will wait little longer. Oh well

Try calling WalMart. I called three and found one that had one. I am on the West side of the state. If you are in the Detroit area, check out the WalMarts down south in the less populated counties/cities.
 
If you go to bestbuy.com and ask for a white one, they are available online, it seems. Black is sold out online and in stores.
 
i was at BB in Richardson texas today.... Firewheel mall
they had 1 black one...

to bad I am still waiting for my upgrade....

Well BestBuy.com just had 200 in stock and they sold out in 2 hours

The website was overloaded so I couldnt complete my order!

The rep on the phone told me the news about the 200

This. I don't get why people don't want to try Walmart. Sure its ghetto and all, but they ARE selling Evo's as well. And if you want a white Evo, shouldn't be a problem. Someone at my work replaced a black one and got it on the same day.
 
I'm in New Orleans and they have Evo's everywhere. Sprint stores and Best Buys. Try calling them down here and have them send you one....if that's even a possibility.

Dude I live in metro Detroit too. Sterling Heights actually. I have been looking for this phone for 3 WEEKS. Since I switched to sprint at the best buy in Madison Heights I talked to the manager and talked him into giving me a rain check. Finally got my evo but has light leakage so I'm going to exchange it and hes holding that one too. They have them in stock its just there all reserved even though they tell you that they cannot reserve any.
 
Wasn't it easier to ask the first Best Buy store to look in the computer and tell you which store nationwide had one in stock?

Just give Wal-Mart a call and ask if they have them ...not all Walmarts sell Sprint, but most do. Only one of the five stores I called didn't sell Sprint. I got mine at a Wal-Mart when BestBuy and Sprints were sold out. Took it to the BestBuy for a screen protector and they were like "Where'd you get this???"...took it to the Sprint store to transfer contacts (BB couldn't do it because their computer didn't support evo yet) and even the Sprint store was amazed I was able to find one. The WalMart told me they were getting them in regularly. (This in Shreveport, LA)

Why don't you just use their website - real time inventory lookup.
