Root just curious.....

If you are rooted and do a factory reset to take the phone back to Verizon can they tell? Or do they even check? I know that once Motorola gets a phone all they do is reflash and put it in a refurb pile....just checking

honestly the checking depends on the rep. I know some reps (majority) that could be handed a razr running MIUI/CM7 (if possible) and not tell the difference others will notice right away. Personally I check if only to strike up conversation I love meeting a fellow rooter What I would recommend since they are just wiped, and if you really cant unroot your device due to knowledge not the phone being bricked, just install launcher pro or something and hide the Superuser app. no rep is going to check that.

I did the factory reset and took it back....they just turned it on to make sure it was at the startup screen and cut it off...I was just wondering about when they sent it off to motorola...I understand a good bit as I've rooted/flashed/romd/sbf'd the og, Droid x and some other friends devices....the unroot script from doomlord just didn't work for me on the razor....anyway thanks for the info....they swapped my phone out no problem.
