Root Just finished rooting less than 3 min ago, now what?

How do I go about backing up my phone so that I don't mess it up in the future?

What should I do now?

I did this so I could get rid of the pre-installed bloatware apps. Whats the best way to do so?

One way to remove the bloat is to get the premium version of titanium back up and freeze the bloat. Another way is to flash a de-bloated rom using clockwork. Personally I would freeze the stuff for now, and read up on how to flash roms, and make double sure I had the process down and knew how to recover if there is an issue.

I just installed clockworkmod recovery manager from the market. I created a rom for backup but when I try to make a backup it restarts and gives me an error in the recovery mode menu. I'm not sure what this means or what I should do next. I just wanted to make a back up as quickly as I could during this whole process in case something happened. I installed and used ROM Mngr V3.0.1.0 if it makes any difference. What's the best way to make a back up? I tried it again with the same error.

I don't use ROM manager so I do it straight through CWM.

Boot the phone up with holding the two volume buttons and the power button. It will bring you to the menu for CWM. Select from there "Backup/Restore" and back up that way... Volume buttons move around the menu and the power button is the select button. The menu button brings you back.
