went from Koni's Elite I to MikFroYo v4.5. i must say MikFroYo is sweeeeeet... speed is awesome... anxious to take it to work monday and see how battery reacts... i lasted about 2 weeks on my first ROM... it's amazing to me how within a few moments, flash a new ROM, and you have a "new" phone... and to think that there is so much more to come... hats off to all the dev's... keep up the awesome work...

Watch out before you lose yourself into the world of flashing roms.
With the community the EVO has now and still getting better, it's highly addictive and hard to not try them all.
I use to do it everyday but now that I've gotten the feel of what fits me best, I've settled down and have limited myself to once a week.

Are you running the kernel that came with the rom, or are you running a different kernel. I'm running netarchy 4.3.2-cfs-sbc-havs-more kernel and am getting unreal battery life like 1 and 1/2 days of med use or 1 full day like 16hrs of heavy use. Here's a link to all of netarchy's kernels http://www.qap.la/~netarchy/ try different ones to see what works best for you. Flash them the same as you did the rom. Just make a back-up of the rom your currently running before flashing the new kernel

If you like MikFroyo, I would highly recommend Kings Ultimate Froyo. You can download it in the thread over at XDA in the development section. It's kind of like Koni, but I think the theming is way better. You're going to find out that there is no "best ROM" as it's all a matter of what your preferences are.

I am really liking the CM7 nightlies now that they include Wimax.

Totally agree. CM7 Nightly 8 rocks! Can't wait until the stable release.

After struggling with battery life, finally rockin Mikfroyo, Netarchy 4. 1. 9. 1cfs sbc v 7, oc 1190. Super stable, slayer's animations, really can't ask for more. Off charger 17 hrs with 25% Android use on battery stats.

I was running Myns RLS5 with toastmod 4.3.1 HAVS cfs no sbc, I was able to get over 30 hours on one charge. Mind you I worked both days and that involved light use. I had several nextels and they NEVER got over 1 day on a charge, those things were archaic compared to the evo.
