Root Just got it

So I went today and picked up this phone and first thing I did when I got home was log in here and check to see if there was any root or other mods available for it only to see that it's only been out for a very short time. I'd look into trying to figure out how to root it and all that stuff but I have no idea where to start. So if anyone happens to be looking into it then good luck and hope everything works out for ya.

Actually if anyone wants to point me in the right direction as to how to go about starting the process, any info would be appreciated.

I picked up this phone the other day, ive had every high end android phone on at&t. I buy and sell, i was surprised by the overall great reviews of this phone, and it has been very snappy. Possibly faster than my one x. Though i feel this phone wont take off much because lets be honest, its made by pantech. Who? There are a ton of one click root methods out there, just a matter of trying one until you root successfuly.

hey everyone well i got this phone about a week ago i traded my gs3 for it and its so much better and well made and zippier anyways i was also dissapointed that there was no root method i tried z4 root temp root got stuck in a boot loop and had to do a battery pull i used to noob dev for the htc evo 4g back on xda so glad we get a forum here pantech love lets start this up
 
Don't loose hope on this little phone yet. I just ordered mine last night so I can't be of much help but I do plan on finding a way to root it. I was in the same boat about 2 years ago with the LG Phoenix when I got it it had literally been out 3 days and no one knew a thing about it. After a few weeks of research a few mins of crossing my fingers and praying I had a good rooting for the phone that worked that didn't ever require a thousand lines of code. Im sure this is going to be an uphill battle but there are a lot of people that will get this phone because of the price point. Give it a little while and if I haven't figured out something out I'm sure someone will.

Donavan as soon as you get this rooted i will donate and i will churn out a rom within 2 days granted itll be a stock stripped rom but we will begin this step by step we just need root first the problem here is that its a pantech
and people who buy pantechs dont usualy dev
 
Thanks for the confidence but I don't want any donations if I manage to get it rooted, thanks anyways. If you can make us a killer ROM without all the AT&T BS on it then that would be fantastic. I haven't had much time to research this phone totally yet and being that I don't have it yet means it a little tough (but it shipped yesterday .... YAY!). I will keep after it as there are some apps I NEED that require root. If I find out someone else has rooted it I will let you all know.
