Just got leaked 2.1, Have some questions

Hello All,

I just recently downloaded 2.1 and so far its awesome, but im having some issues. First, where are the live wallpapers??? I downloaded several off the market, but i have no idea where to use them at. Also, i have some issues when i go to make calls, i press buttons and it lags to a point to where it slows down completely.

Any help would be appreciated
 
The Eris does not have live wallpaper. The OS does not support it.

As far as phone lag goes, the call log is usually the culprit. Clear it and see if that helps.

My phone transitions much faster. The running apps and other processes load quicker. I can scroll through my programs without the screen getting jumpy. Because the programs load more efficiently, the battery life is slightly better.

Also, different apps available in the market - Google Navigation.
 
Theres a few videos on youtube were it shows live wallpapers...i download some, since i have the new software now, but they dont show up.how do i get it?
 
Instead of updating to the leak you should have went the route of rooting your phone instead. At least then if you find 2.1 is not for you at this point in time you can go back to 1.5 without any hassle. Also some of the roms for rooted eris's do support some live wallpapers, but some of them just don't work correctly if at all. I know this does you no good but for others out there trying to decide which way to go it might help them decide to go the route of rooting instead.

the phone itself isnt fast enough for LWP. LWP did come out with 2.1, but only for the phones that can handle it

But i heard that it had to have at least a 500 mhz processor for live wallpapers to be included and the droid eris has that...
 
you know, now that i think about it, your totally right. i forgot you can get them on root. hopefully it will happen with the ota in july.

my bad :/
 
according to a bunch of the stuff ive read, it will be sent out to testers in june, meaning that it will get to us around mid july. honestly...who knows though
