ok so few minutes ago got my note

my first thing I need to do on my phone is to set my 3 work email accounts which I had working fine on my blackberry...
On starting up the note it asked me for my google account but now I keep getting notifications for all my gmail movements...I dont use gmail anymore
tried to remove the gmail account and its telling me that the only way to remove it is to do factory reset :S
Since I never had an android machine.....how is best to set the note up ? All I need as email is my 3 work accounts...how can I stop receiveing gmail and get my work accounts up and running ?
