Just got my sd card

Just got my 16gb class 6 micro sd card in and i was wondering if there was anything special i need todo to put it in?

Also should i do a complete system restore?

Thanks for the help guys:)

Hook the phone into the usb port via the cable you got with the phone
Slide down the top bar of the phone and select the usb icon
Select hard drive

Go to my computer
double click removable disk
Find the files that you need (just click ctrl+a)
Move them to a new folder

Take the micro sd card out of the phone
Put the new one in
reverse taking the files out, and put them onto the phone.

You are a lifesaver. Thanks again..:)

please post if you notice an actual benefit. do you use something like double twist to sync music? if so, does it sync faster

I use a 16GB class 6 left over from my myTouch. If you do a lot of back and forth writing to the card, a class 6 is a benefit. But, you're really going to get the speed benefit from writing large contiguous files like videos. Smaller files -- like MP3s -- will get stuck with more overhead due to the nature of the copy procedure (combined with smaller size/file) and thusly have a slower througput. So, using something like DoubleTwist or iSync, you're probably not going to notice much of a worthwhile difference utilizing the phone's built-in controller.

For reference, I get about 4-5 MB/s average on my class 6 using just the phone.

I have a 16gb class 2 and use MediaGo to sync it's 100% faster than DoubleTwist. It moves stuff fast enough for me.

Is more battery life consumed by using the 16 GB class 6 microsd card, compared to the stock 8 GB class 2?

I'm wondering about idle consumption too, not just when reading/writing
