Just got the Extended Battery

Ok just received this.

Fully charged yesterday.

Took it off the charger at 7:50am this morning. Let's see how long it lasts.

Typically I got about 7 solid hours out of the my old battery. I guess I would be considered a heavy user. I'm always do something on my phone.

I will keep you posted.

I am very hopeful that I can get at the very least 12--14 hours.
 
Just got this as well. The 2000 mah with the new back. Found it on amazon. First day so to early to report findings. I can tell you this though, the phone is perfect with this new back on. I like it a little thicker, makes it easier to hold and makes the phone feel more substantial. The lines are perfect too. The back plate is almost perfectly alligned witht he bottom hump. Hopefully the battery gives me the extra juice I need.
 
The battery came with a new back. And like garment69 said it fits the phone perfectly. Slightly heavier but a perfect fit. The battery life has tremendously improved. I am loving it. Definitely worth every penny. No longer am I paranoid every second about my battery dying.

I am a super heavy user (always on my phone doing something) and I get about 14 hours from one charge. With the stock battery I got about 8 max. So I am a happy camper.

Can you fit a standard case with the battery? I've been thinking of getting one but I don't think it will fit in my cradle.
 
Got mine today, the model number of the battery is different to the one specified on ebay and on the box it came in, the seal on which was broken. I really hope I won't have to fly over and kick this guy's arse for selling me a fake battery, Currently charging, it had better be genuine.

Ok so it's meant to be the EB-K1A2EBEGSTD but I have the EB-F1A2KBU, what do you/everyone else have?
 
My extended battery seems to be genuine, didn't die half way through using it like those 2 fakes I got a couple of months ago. But I'll still keep testing to make sure it doesn't drop off in performance, not sure if the last run was worse performance or heavier use of heavy apps.
Still puzzled why the battery's model number is of a different genuine extended battery instead of what it was supposed to be, listed as on ebay and the sticker on the box. It also wasn't wrapped in it's own plastic.

In other news, my original 1650 battery is having a great day, airplane mode is on, but it's played 6 hours of music and it's now just gone down to 92% battery remaining.
Has everyone else's batteries gotten better or worse?
 
Ive just bought an extended battery as my original Samsung one which is less than a week old only lasts me 3.5hrs, that from a full charge.
I'm into gfx and generally use it constantly for the 3.5hrs.
I even charged my mob at night then in the morning even though its fully charged but on 3 occasions still only lasted the same time.
The extended battery is 3500mAh so more than double the juice of the original.
I will let you know how long it lasts hopefully more than 3.5hrs.
I know that everyone will have there own different experiences on battery times, I'm just telling you mine lol.
 
I have the EB-K1A2EBEGSTD and it works great. It has really enhanced the experience of owning this phone. Mine came from Hong Kong and it appears to be a samsung product.

I'm loving my 200mAh!!!!
 
I bought extended battery ( 3500A) , but it does not give me more than one and half day and also it makes the phone ugly, i believe going with the orginal one (2000A) is better.
 
i too am waiting on the 2000mah from overseas. wondering if my otter case will still fit. how much thicker is the phone with the 2000mah back case?
 
If you use the official 2000mAh Samsung battery, it fits the back of the phone in such a way that you no longer have a hump at the antennae area. In other words, back is flat. It also comes with a new back cover. I hear you can find some cases for those too.

I got my sg 2 about 4 weeks ago upgrading from the desire. I'm quite a heavy user so the desire would be about dead by 8pm. The galaxy as stock is better obviously, probably lasting till 10 or 12pm. 3 wks ago I bought the 2000 mah extended battery and it's brilliant. Can now get at least a day and a half (although I recharge each night out of choice) so no more worrying about battery usage and running out. The phone looks better ith the flat back imo and my existing pdair leather case fits perfectly. If you have any concerns about battery life then either root and experiment with a custom ROM or buy this for an instant improvement.
 
I got the official Samsung extended battery, with new back cover, from Amazon.co.uk, and is now on its first day of trial.

Unfortunately it has only lasted half a day, but I'm confident it will improve once cycled a few times.

My existing gel case fitted it okay, but I found it very hot this afternoon so I have removed the case.

Anyone got any suggestions of gel-type covers that will give the phone enough breathing space?

I also have the hunchback.. it blows in looks but the battery lasts on a decent charge.. I got it for free also. I only use it on occasion. Usually I stick with the crappy stock 1650 which only lasts 8 hours.

I would love to purchase the 2000mah extended.. but I have an otterbox and I love it to bits!
 
The original Samsung 2000 mAh extended is the way to go, I believe. Got it a few days ago with a 16 GB microSD (also picked a new Samsung one) and, I think, I'm pretty much on the safe side with battery fitness and plenty of storage for video recording/photographs now.
 
I have the genuine Samsung 2000mah Extended Battery, and I have charged it twice since buying it (not had it (and phone) for long). I got about 13 hours out of it today, which was mostly outside in the sun (with auto-brightness) - using Facebook, News, Texting and Calls.

I use Go Launcher EX too, and am currently looking into analysing my phone to see if I have any Battery Humpers installed.

I expect Go Launcher EX is a heavy humper. Overal I am very happy with the Extended Battery (with back case, and genuine Samsung Flip cover). I just want to get the most out of batteries. I will be buying another Extended Battery soon, so I can alternate the two using the genuine Samsung external charger I have :)

I did have an extended battery pack/kit on my SGS2, but when my phone went in for repair it came back with a "bog" standard battery on it, so I've just had to pay

Back to Samsung via registered mail, because the ICS upgrade screwed my phone up so badly with things not working, apps freezing, crashing, blank screens etc etc...

Got my second EBK now and its relatively fine, although at times I've found that the bog standard battery lasts a lot longer than it used to.
