I've had my MT since mid May and LOVE IT. the main issue with it was the GPS firmware. You can find a fix to it - AGPS Patch Fix HD Gingerbread on this forum.
It will give you a link to download the firmware patch fix. If your fav dev already included this patch in the rom files, then you can also download a great app to help it along. FasterGPS by Doninik Schurmann on Google Play Store (free app). It works!
Use the settings you find in the AGPS Patch Fix to configure the advance settings. When done, reboot your phone, then open Maps to "target" the unit GPS. This app works as a filter so your GPS "ping" doesn't get sent to satellites you may not need to target. I'm in the US, so mine only pings the satellite for North America, United States. This will reduce that lock time considerably!
I run g60Madman's CM7.2 g60 style rom. (use the final) with Launcher 7, a Windows Phone 7 style launcher. Nice! I've had no problems with it. g60madman and his team have done great work. Whyzor, a dev I followed from Android Central Forums, did some work on this rom. He worked on the very famous rom, Backside IHO for the LG Optimus V. His advise has always been solid so I trust his work. He doesn't disappoint! Good Luck & enjoy your MT.
