Root Just got this phone on at&t, Working on a root, Bootloader hack

I don't know anything about it how trustworthy the site is or who they are, just came acrossed it on a search to root this phone. I got it not to long ago and was already stuck on BOG5 Then I found this thread about DM on a possible breakthrough. Haven't looked into this leaked Odin yet but thought it's far better off information to a developer, if we ever hope for root or a work around.
 
Very tempted to try it. Im just not sure what im suppose to roll back too. Would be interested to know if anyone has successfully done this or not.
 
Haha wouldn't mind fixing that issue but living out in the country like I do the "V" is the only one that'll give me service at my house and lots of spots throughout the area.
 
The OP hasn't posted in quite some months. I request that this forum either be closed or the OP needs to give a progress update.
 
" Just the Kernel, not the firmware. Which in reality.... Serves no purpose.... The bootloader still remains locked and prevents from downgrading the firmware. However, this method works for downgrading kernels... I'm still looking into ways to obtain root with a downgraded kernel. Not saying it's possible, but I'm not giving up just yet. "

My question , is it true that we still cannot have root acces with downgrading kernel only ? And what is the difference betwen kernel and bootloader
