just installed a different language keyboard

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to the Android scene and not very knowledgeable in programming. With that said, I just installed a different language keyboard and when I went to the settings to turn it on, it states that this input method can record all text inputs. My question is does this record just this specific language text inputs or for every text that I type on my phone?
