Finally got round to rooting my SG2 as the warranty is nearly out so I thought why not 
Root and flash was easy as pie compared to the Apps2SD+ EXT3+ terminal Desire headache.
No problems at all that I've seen, phone is fully functional.
New notifications are lovely, Google now is a hoot and seems to work quite well too (maybe I have really low expectations lol.)
All in all, once I adjusted the touchscreen sensitivity (way too low by defualt and makes the phone feel sluggish) it's a fast and pretty ROM
Battery life is being mullered at the mo as expected with a new ROM after a full wipe, have to keep an eye on it over the next couple of weeks and see if it improves.
Was a bit of a pain in the arse to have to download all the Gapps but once I did that the phone became very tasty as exactly how it should be.
IMHO JB is exactly what Android should be, although the system menus are still a little over complicated for your average IOS user they do give you a lot of options to play with, not sure how many of those are vanilla JB or CM though.
It's nice to be back in the realms of root and custom ROMs, it's been quite a long time
