Nah, 3850 mAh battery is the way to go.

I don't like JD because it limits the capability of applications by not letting them to synchronize data in the background. And I want many of my apps to be able to synchronize data in the background. Extended battery fits my needs much better than JD.

See this is EXACTLY WHY JD is awesome. If you just turn your antennas off on your own, then your phone WONT auto sync. JD automates this (which is a major PITA otherwise) AND still turns them back on every 15min-1hr to let autosync happen. Extended batteries is a must (I am getting a 1900Mah soon) but I REFUSE to make this phone any bigger as its size is one of the main selling points aside from its performance.

Well, it is your choice. I have other apps I need JD interferes with. And I like my immediate push notifications. I just bought a big battery, and I am very happy.

I understand and respect that. And I know that there are drawbacks with JD (although with the speed of the connect, most of the drawbacks have been virtually eliminated, like having to wait for connectivity, or JD being too slow to enable data (instead of wifi) for mms messages).

I am curious though, what apps in particular does JD interfere with for you (and what "push" notifications besides maybe facebook does JD stop?) You could set the "auto-sync" interval to like 10 mins and it would almost be the same.

When I tried JD back when I had ascend, it was interfering with E-mail and Gmail apps. I suspect it would also interfere with GPS phone tracking software, but I haven't tried JD since Ascend.
JD is kinda useless for me, for it mostly preserves battery in stand-by mode, and does not offer much if you are actively using your phone for streaming or tethering. With extended battery, I can do anything I want without thinking much about battery life.

jd does a horrible job with my weather widget. i end up updating it manually most of the time.

My Connect is up and running with root, followed 1clickroot guide. Beautiful phone, very bloated which is causing lag.

Im having issues finding a CWM Recovery link and tutorial, Allthingsroot guide says shabbypenguin removed all links.

download rom manager and see if it is in the options to install recovery. Just go to the playstore and install rom manager. Then open it>install recovery> find lg connect>select and it should install. That's if its supported though. Wouldn't know seeing as I don't have a connect.

Yeah i found it in rom manager. very simple. Thanks guys. Its a sweet phone, i love it- fast, smooth, responsive and battery life is great; on par with the droid Razr in my opinion. I rate this phone a 9/10. If it only had an HDMI port.
