Just picked up a nexus 2 days ago.

Just picked one up on Bell in canada, completely unlocked.

Was eligible for upgrades, went into the store and got an iphone 4s for the girlfriend and the galaxy nexus for myself. I got a 3 year service plan that includes 1 phone replacement and 1 battery replacment for ANY reason in that time frame.

Walking out of the store paying 199.99 I felt like I finally got a good deal from a cell phone company. On top of that I was able to keep my Atrix which I then sold for 325$ with the car dock and otter box and my 16gb microSD card.

Still cannot believe the galaxy nexus was overlooked on the microSD. I can see the 13gb of internal memory filling VERY fast. Overall I'm so impressed with the phone (expect the volume issues and lack of SD).

Is there any tips for getting the most out of my new device?

First of all, congrats on the new phone! I can see you being a little wary of the 16GB of storage, but I would recommend setting up a Dropbox accounts if you store a lot of docs on your phone and you can always connect it to a USB flash drive for storing movies, music, etc. depending on how often you're using it for that.

Has this been tested? Can you connect a USB flash drive via the dongle and it will be recognized by the Galaxy Nexus? i.e. if I'm taking the bus out of town and I want to bring a few 720p movies with me, this will allow that?

Yeah i have dropbox, im thinking more for music. I do have the google music beta but that seems to rum off data because its streaming and also eats battery.
