i have had my phone for nearly 24 hours! i just wanna know what cool things you are doing to your phone. i will be using my phone pretty much everything. i wanna know what are the best apps for texting and emailsing and phone calls/answering. what apps do you have for cool games? what songs/tones do you have, and how can i get some for free? i have to call RoadRunner to get my email set up for notifications still. i of course set up and gmail account bc it said i had too (or did i have to?) can i receive both gmail and Roadrunner emails on my phone? i also tried editing an event in the calander and i had to deleted it and reenter it as a competely new event all over again, is there a way to edit an event? i did find out i have the 2.2 OS system. thanks in advance, i have cruising around this forum for a few weeks and this is an awesome place to be. oh yeah, did i mention i love this freaking phone!...changed the subject line:(

Hi Coles Dad, and welcome to the fourm.
I've moved to Evo forum where folks with the same phone can answer your questions.

i will be using my phone [for] pretty much everything.
Yeah... that's what leads to cherry popp'n....

Aaaaaanyways, I suggest you head over to
http://androidforums.com/htc-evo-4g/105074-must-have-android-apps.html

Then after that, expand your horizons here http://androidforums.com/android-applications/1183-favorite-app-so-far.html and take a good long read. You will be spending the next few weeks coming to grasp the expansiveness and variety of the market, and this expansive thread is a good place to start IMO

BTW, Your RR settings for syncing your email app are going to be (aside from your username and password):

Incoming (POP) Server - pop-server.nc.rr.com
Security Type - NONE
Authentication Type -___
Port - 110

SMTP Server - smtp-server.nc.rr.com
Security Type - NONE
Port - 25
Require Signin - uncheck

You can set it up yourself. Just open the "mail" app, then click Menu->More->New Account->Other (POP3/IMAP)-> Then enter your email address and password, and click "Manual Setup" and start plugging in the above info.

Well, i was being funny, but i do understand that the whole "cherry popping" thing. I totally respect this site and all the people that give their time and advice. Im new (obviously) so give a heads up to a MOD to change the title. But, my quest for info still
rages on, so gimmie gimmie!
