Just pre-ordered Galaxy Note

Been 10 days since i have had the note.

Just coming back to report the following:

. 2 days worth of battery use (light to moderate use)
. Google map crashed once but have had no other crashes.
. Screen is impressing on everyone who has seen it
. S Memo is proving to be very useful (taking quick notes and making fun pics)
. Movie maker is excellent for quick editing and the phone is powerful enough to make it a positive and quick experience
. Camera takes fair pictures, but prone to shaky hands even with anti-shake
. Definitely not too big to be using as an everyday, everywhere phone

My Flexishield skin case has not arrived yet, but will report on that when I have it.

Well if i was brutally honest I have been trying to reserve an iPhone 4S the past couple of nights, have been itching to get my next device and maybe its just fate that I have not managed to reserve one.

A little late on the reply here... sorry.

But just wanted to add... I was about to go from the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4 a month or two ago because I was itching to get a new and faster device.

First, I wanted to trade-in my iPhone 3GS but stupid radio shack said there was water damage and then tried to sell me the iPhone 4 for like $450 after tax because they didn't know how to cross-upgrade. Then I went to Fry's electronics to get one. They said they couldn't cross-upgrade because of the different SIM cards and they didn't have an extra sim card. (???)

Basically, whatever I did, I couldn't get the iPhone 4 whether it was the price or stupid employees.

The iPhone 4S was also a disappointment so decided against getting that. And thank god because they have more issues than features right now.

Now, I have the Galaxy S2 and waiting for my Note. =D

so yeah... I do think these things happen for a reason.

Well, the skin case arrived.

Not a great looking case but it does have all the correct cut outs and fits snugly and it does cover all of the edges and the top of the edges. Its a semi sheen surface and its quite grippy, also should absorb shock quite well. But its no tough case from case mate, and having had the flip case before hand, all of a sudden the screen feels very exposed. Will give it a couple of days to see how it performs in real world.

VIP...Thanks for the KIND words :p

Looking back, I am happy that I waited for the note and not rushed into a 4s. The note is superior in my opinion after having owned it for a couple if weeks now, I honestly think the 4s can't compete with it except for a better camera. The usability of the Note is beyond gimmick, its really helpful and powerful. Having had the galaxy s before I didn't feel this level of attachment to the phone, but now this thing has truly showed me what a smart phone can do. everything is just slick as its so powerful, last night I did an impromptu Skype video chat with my family across the pond in the USA, and it just worked beautifully.

I took delivery of that skin case yesterday too. Pretty much what tsport said, although the Note doesn't feel that vulnerable to me, largely because I usually go naked case wise and just take care to dedicate an empty pocket to it. Happy with the skin, adds much needed grip and I can place it on a surface without worrying about the lens getting scratched, the latter being the main reason I bought the skin.

On the subject of accessories, I've used a MoviePeg (link below) for a while with my iPhone, a quick and easy stand that fits in your wallet. The iPhone4 version works perfectly with a naked Galaxy Note I've discovered, although since I'll be using the skin now I may have to file away a bit of the resin/rubber to make it fit. The Note is very good indeed as a portable video player, the stand will see a lot of use.

Right... I have applied some Martin Fields screen protectors and i can confirm that it is a PERFECT fit as expected, this brand has never let me down before and as always the quality of the product is excellent, its a brand that i swear by.

So... Along with the Flexiskin case, Martin Fields screen protector and the shocksock case my phone is well and truly smuthered and protected!
