Just Preordered my G2

i got an email saying that I could pre-order, but when I click on the button to do so, it takes me to a list of phones I can upgrade to. But the G2 is not listed.

Maybe it's because I'm still under a 2 year contract?

I got the same thing. I'm assuming that is the case. I started my contract in Nov '09. I kinda wish I had gone with the Even More Plus instead of the Even More. Oh well.

I wonder if there's a way to extend the contract to get the pricing?
 
in regards to pricing and contracts, you guys should note:

I am not on a contract and although they want to charge me $499 for the G2, it is cheaper than paying $199 with a 2 year contract becuase, with the 2 year contract, they change my rate and increase $20/month for the same service i have now. So in reality, the $199 is plus $480 so by going to a contract and the phone becomes $680 instead of the non contract price of $499. interesting and I'm not sure why but that is what I am told at both stores I went to.

CALL. The G2 wasn't showing for me so I called - my current contract had started in November 2009 as well. The CSR was able to take my order at the partial discount price of $309 with a contract extension. I have a grandfathered price plan, the CSR also saw I was eligible for a data/text plan that was $5 cheaper than what I was paying (which was already $5 cheaper than the usual) so that was good too. :D
