Just received my first buggy Eris refurb.

And I sent an email to verizon stating that I'm not paying 80 dollars a month to use a service on a phone which makes that usage next to impossible. I don't want to go through the headache of returning 2 more eris's to get a new phone at a discounted price, so they need to correct this problem.

Any guesses as to what they're going to say? I should suggest that my lawyer(s) have been notified.

Some users with that history of refurbs have reported being offered another device, such as the HTC Incredible.

My guess is that you will receive a slightly rambling response saying they will send you another Eris.

Verizon has more lawyers than you do. Just get another refurb. If you are still having problems then tell them that this is your second or third refrub and that you dont think another refurb will solve your problem.

I'm on my 4th Eris. This is my 2nd refurb. I've gone to several different Verizon stores and argued with them over giving me a new phone; they never do. I got my first one not 10 months ago, and went through three in the course of two days. If you convince them to give you a new phone, tell me how you do it!

I think you have to go through 3 refurbs in a row before they will upgrade you.

Nah I got the Inc after 2...and then went through two of those in one week before I got a working one. Verizon's refurbished quality is absolute crap, just bug them till you get a working phone.

Emailed them first and then called. Didn't really have to bug them, just asked the CSR what my other options were since I was tired of dealing with buggy Eris refurbs and she immediately offered the Inc.

hmm everybody has problems with the eris, my brother(9 years old) has a eris and never ever had a problem with it (knocks on wood) but if his does break i will complain to a level 2 rep about getting a dinc, i mean if im paying $99 i want a different devices considering my bros eris was free with my droid, they allready replaced my mothers palm pixi with a droid 2 and my droid 1 with a droid 2 global and my grams crappy entice for a lg cosmos, just gotta know how to complain and stay to the point
