Accessories Just received the standard dock.

When I plug my Atrix in to the standard dock the screen doesn't rotate or go to the 'docking ' screen.

It just stays on the standard phone desktop screen. It charges ok but thats all.

Is there a setting or something I'm missing?

Ive been using an app called "NightStand Bold" for the longest time. Its free and it does everything I need it to including rotating. Try it, let me know how it works for you.

I bought a new standard dock and USB wall charger for a total of $26.54 with free shipping. (What a deal.) Just came today and it is a new dock and it works really well. I have the Outterbox Commuter case and only had to remove the hard plastic case off the Atrix and the dock plate off the dock. Well worth the money. The phone is very stable in the dock and love watching movies and listening to music thru the Aux port. The dock its self is well made and looks really good. A must have. As for the nighttime mode, Mine is very dark, but you can still see it in a dark room. I have a regular alarm clock that is brighter then the Atrix when in the dock in nighttime mode.

For those that are having problems activating the dock app. when inserting it, make sure that its not on the auto end list in the stock task manager.

Once installed in the dock my Bionic goes to the alarm clock screen as it should. However, if I leave this screen to do anything else with the phone, I can not seem to find a way to get the clock screen back without removing the phone and replacing it. Any solutions? TIA. Don

when you open the notifications, is there an "ongoing" item called "connected to dock" or something like that? i have the HD dock and mine says "connected to HD dock". if i select it, a window pops up to let me select the "widget clock" or "dismiss the picker".

Also, you can set the home button to be the default for clock doc mode. Go into settings, when the doc clock is displayed and I think you will find it there.
