Just root??

I had my ics rooted and just want to root my gc01 I just want it rooted so I can use the wifi hotspot and remove some of the bloatware through titanium, I just went through [ROM][ODIN][TAR]SPH-D710BST GC01 (GC01 Modem/Kernel/ROM - Root/Stock) and ended up putting gc27 back on my phone after installing gc01 today I want gc01 not gc27 because I would like to be able to access my boost account from my phone.

Just a quick question, where do I get the wifi tether app, is there a apk or is there a app in the play store?

Okay when I have followed the instructions from the link everything goes through and from my pc it says complete but my phone gets stuck on the 4g logo (sprint) is it because I am using Windows 8?

Windows 8?! yuck! Not sure, I know it does take a little longer to boot the first time. you may have to run the installer as administrator. You might need to re-download the file again, make sure you have the samsung usb drivers (install kies). Also might want to make sure you are using a USB 2.0 port (someone reported an issue using a 3.0 port).
