Root Just Rooted

Hey guys I just rooted my DX and am on GD 4.5.596. Couple of questions first should I update to .602 or .605, and second which roms would you folks recommend thanks for you advice and your time.
 
I'd update and re-root using the one step root method above. Why don't you get your feet wet a bit, then if you want, try ApeX 2.0.0 RC4. It's very stable. It's my preferred rom for Gingerbread. Having said that, Cyanogenmod7 (cm7) and miui have more ability to tweak settings. Let us know.
 
I agree with Steven, but I am also on .602 right now running rom Mobile Sensei v3 with the R2D2 theme (Star Wars nut here) and it is rock solid, excellent rom. I like Miui for GB, but got in a pickle running it when I was on a trip with the kids and needed to take wide shot photos and could not. So, I restored my nandroid backup of Mobile Sensei and never looked back. I liked CM7, but wasn't that impressed with the tweaked and customization. I find the customization easier in Miui, it would be my 2nd int rom of choice, but all are great roms, just depends on whether one offers something you like over the other. For me, I like the Star Wars theme, I did not have that on any of the 2nd int roms, thus another reason I left them and went back to Mobile Sensei.

OK on the original post I stat that I just rooted my phone right well when I rooted I was on GB .596 then I did an OTA update to GB0.605. I still have the superuser app on my phone and I reran the one click root program and said complete, but when I try and start Titanium backup it say no root privileges. What am I missing?
 
usually after rerooting .605 you should reboot

then boot into stock recovery, and wipe cache, that usually takes care of the issue
