I have no Idea where it came from and sorry I can't do much to give you information on how to prevent it, but somehow there was a bug in either Voice Search or Voice Dialer.
Anyhow it causes you not to be able to hear voice calls or listen to anything but system notifications.
I figured it out because whenever I would plug headphones in, the voice search box would pop up.
Also I reflashed the phone entirely and it the virus stayed, only until I deleted said apps did the speaker start working correctly.

Just thought I'd let you guys know in case it happens to someone else. I apologize for any sloppiness of my wording.

An app with a bug in it does not equal a virus. And what in the world would any of the "antivirus" apps for android have done about it? nothing. Because they can't.

Well this is questionable whether or not it would've done anything about it, because I don't think it was an app that caused it and I ran a scan anyhow and nothing was found. Believe me I try all the obvious before I come and post here.

My bad pune...lol, I just didn't know what else to call it, because apparently, The voice dialer app which I've always had, but never used was causing the issue and even after I completely formatted and flashed the phone.


Edit: however Giantpune, you did say that the exploits we use for root could potentially allow someone else to exploit and use any app to bury a "bug" or something right?
