Help Just tried connecting my Moment to PC. Not working.

I get the usb notification and pull down menu and selected mount..usb icon is shown in window but no new drive on pc...I had to reboot but still no drive...any suggestions?

Thank you everybody for this post. :) I've been trying to figure out for 3 weeks now why my Moment wouldn't connect to either of 2 Windows XP computers, but would connect with no problems to somebody else's Windows Vista laptop and connect with USB debugging on to Windows ME.

Turns out all I had to do to connect to XP was turn debugging off and do a manual reboot (not a low battery shut itself down reboot).

When you guys say "Do a reboot" do you mean turn the phone off and on again? or do you mean Pull the battery out and then plug it back in?:o

When I unmounted the SD card, removed the battery then the SD card, then reassembled it all and mounted the SD card, my Moment would not connect to XP.
however...
Days later, I turned the phone off and then back on. It connected to XP just fine.
It doesn't make any sense to me.

I finally figured it out folks...

I followed PDAnet instructions to the best of my ability, I encountered error installing the ADB component of the Moment driver, however, I instead of uninstalling all related Android devices and drivers, I checked Device Manager in my computer...( I had downloaded and installed Android Driver as per PDAnet instructions), so I wanted to see what was showing there. Well, I came across a yellow exclamation point in an unknown usb driver. I clicked on properties, then clicked on update, and, since the driver was already downloaded to my computer, the system reinstalled it and fixed the bug!, I then proceeded to finalize pdanet install and succeeded!
It took me a few times and a few reads from you guys to solve my tethering issues, including rebooting the phone, etc... But it finally happened!

Thank you all for a great thread.:D

i just registered right now!!!

had to thank u guys! ya'll made my day!

all i had to do was restart my phone!!!;););););):):):):):)

It gets check when you bring it to a sprint store when they transferred your contacts by using cellbright. Some people forget to uncheck that once they finish the transfer.
Figured it out...

Under Settings/ Applications/ Development, I had USB debugging checked..
I unchecked that, and the USB icon immediately popped up in my notification bar. I just dragged down the notification bar, clicked on that message, and that got me going to connect my SD card to my PC.

I just downloaded 155 songs to my phone, and it used a little over 1GB of my 8GB card!

All of my music was under my apps tab/ Music.

Cool.

Can anyone think of any reason that I would ever want to have that USB Debugging setting checked?

Have a program that wants me to connect to my pc with usb and usb debugging on. But then I get all the same issues of not connecting? Any help?

i have unchecked debugging, rebooted both phone and computer and still nothing..nothing in the notification bar, nothing anywhere where except charging. help please im ready to throw this thing in the trash.

this is the same problem im having ive been looking for how to connect my fone for so long my patience has worn thin. i finally found this place and my heart lept for joy. after reading EVERY SINGLE MESSAGE ON HERE, that means any problems that might happen that are posted here and all solutions to those problems posted, so that it may finally work. however lady luck left this morning because after doing every given option i still haven't gotten so much as a memory recognition on my computer(btw this means my android, i think its called the Transform or Transformer, will not register the computer except to charge and the computer wont recognize the fone in the least-whatsoever). my hopes are dashed, and i am close to stomping this computer and fone into the ground.

p.s. im using a Dell inspiron mini in case that helps. PLEASE HELP ME.
