JUst upgraded to 2.1, task killer question

SO I just upgraded to 2.1 and I am surprised how much stuff is running:
Htc checkin services
people
setings
HTC checkin services(yes twice)
gmail

I will kill them but then when I check my phone 5 min later they are all running again...do I even need to bother with the task killer anymore?

most people on here will tell you NO! others will tell you YES!

i say it's a personal preference. when i didn't use one, my phone would get laggy and craptacular after a few days.

so i use one and kill tasks once a week or something like that, just to keep it running smoothly.

I use it because it is a lot easier to kill tasks with it..

uh oh.. The Task Killer subject around here is kinda like the MAC vs PC argument.

Like Rick311 said, personal preference. When you kill the tasks, they start up again anyways, but I find that I have to use one once in a great while just to get a hung or crawling app to restart for me.
