I was thinking of buying the JVC HAFX1X XTREME Explosives Inner-Ear Headphones loads of the reviews look good and most are 5 star reviews. However when I look at the 1/2/3 star reviews it mostly states that the reviewers that awarded 5 stars are 1st time reviewers and that the JVC explosives have quite poor audio quality.

So does anyone have them or know about them, at the moment amazon has them with

Audio and sound quality is very subjective. So contrary to the fact these reviewers maybe new or not if the buds sound good to them, then thats all that matters. I've had some JVC buds before and found them to be okay. However compared to my skullcandy ones they do sound a bit more below par. Personally I'd plump for some of theirs in the same price range but as I say thats personal.

The best advice I can give you would be to set yourself a price range and get yourself onto a reputable audio visual forum (avforums for example) and put a post up asking what the best buds you can get for x amount. If a certain consensus seems to appear around either a specific pair or specific brand then, pop down to a store that stocks their recommendation and what you were originally thinking of, try them both and then pick whats best for you.

Yeah thanks for the advice should be the better thing to do rather than posting it in the accessory section :P.

On a side note, I do not like the Skull candies and all the previous JVC I have used were quite poor so I was kinda hectic about this, but it seems JVC has stepped their game up.

These are really good! Y ears are quite sensitive, so had to disable bass boost. However, it's not very farty and high end is quite good, comparable to my bose on ears
