keep getting errors on galaxy s2 when trying to install rom?

I'm trying to install a new rom but whenever I try I keep getting this message half way though the process.

I've tried MIUI, cyanogenMod and also the ICS alpha rom on my sd card but when they start to load, it gets about a third of the way though and then thats when it stops with the image. It doesnt matter which way I try it, it still does the outcome :(

I assume you are rooted. Which method did you use and how are you trying to install these roms?

your not rooted, thats android recovery your in, not cwm.

if you are rooted may i suggest using a kernel like siyah

Edit #1 - its so easy to root an sgs2, why do you need to use a 1 click version of something, read, understand and then go for it

So how come I can use the rooted apps?

Ill give it a try.

i 1st used something by darllord, darkyrom ( cant remember exactly) but it flashed a kernel with no cwm on it and i sat there for hours trying to load a rom, in the end i flashed a siyah kernel through Odin and hey presto, life became so much easier.

oneclick rooting is more of a hindrance than a help IMO ( of course )

A insecure kernel such as CF-root will be better than superoneclick. Might be simpler to flash stock rom then apply CF-root for your version And go from there. You will have cwm installed after that enabling you to install from SD card and make any backups you want.
