Help keep getting generic network error when sending mms on orange

I am asking this question in this forum as the orange forum is a little quiet and its a htc desire i have so im hoping i may get more answers here.

I am on orange pay monthly, whenever i send an mms message i always end up with a red ! which obviously means its had problems sending, i also get a generic network error as well, the odd thing is the person always says they do get the text and picture, so thats good from that aspect, but how can i stop the red ! and the error message?

in my apn settings the authentication setting is set as chap, when i looked on orange at their settings for mms setup, it has on their to use pap, im really confused though because ive read a few forums on this issue and some people were advising to change that to none and some where saying to change it to pap and chap, so im really not sure what best to do.

Can anyone here advise?

just to add my apn settings for orange internet authentication is also chap, would this be best leaving it as it is or should both be pap, same question as above i guess, my internet does work by the way and i dont get any errors with my current settings but if that would make it better then i guess thats good?

Im pretty sure your red ! is the priority youve set for the MMS red being highest priority, you can check this in your mms settings near the bottom.

just looking at my settings(o2) they dont have an authentication type set. But i would say check the settings on oranges website and create a new apn with the settings from the site and test them.
