keep lockscreen, add widget?

just got my S2, and one of the many things i love about it is the lockscreen.

I was wondering if there was any way to keep the lockscreen the way it is, but add a widget (i basically just want to skin the clock or get rid of it and add a clock widget).

Again, i love the mechanism of unlocking (moving the whole picture around) and would like to keep that, which i dont think widgetlocker allows.

Anyone know if this is possible?

AFAIK it's not possible to customise the homescreen unless you get a 3rd party app like widgetlocker from the market. Or maybe if you root you're phone.
