Root Keeps getting google sign in error

Using liquid gingerbread 1.3, getting a google sign in error and no connection retry when trying to load my google reader account or try my voice search. sometime it takes the password but then i have to enter the Scambled up letters and cant get past that spot.
any help would be great.
