Root (Kernel) Buttered Toast

2fast's rom. Does it even have a name? Stock, deodexed

Update:
I really wanted to make this work, so I wiped cache and dalvik again, cleared data for voltage control, played with the settings a bit, rebooted a couple times, and now it's running smoothly.

By the way, what is Jesus Phone settings?
 
After using it for a few days this is awesome! Really feels about as smooth as JB does. Great work I will be waiting for your next release! I think the fast battery drain I was getting is just because of poor signal strength, and not related to the kernel. Was using smartass v2 going to try xondemand see how that goes. Cant wait for the RLS7!!!

That is something that carried over from 2fast4u88 because I used some of his commits (and gave credit). That is what he called oc up to 1.8.
 
Ok I'd like to try this but if I don't care for it how would I restore the kernel I have now? I'm running 2fasts xfusion rom. I haven't messed with the kernel.

You would have to flash the room again without wiping the data partition, or get the standalone kernel. On sdx a few users posted links to it in my thread.
 
Were you the one that emailed me about getting overclocking working? If so shoot me a pm and I will give you some contact stuff to help you out. Though I can't test any changes as I moved to the s3.
 
Cant wait for this to get Overclocking!! Really at 1200mhz seams faster then at 1700mhz on the other kernel! It actually has made sense smooth for me even! Keep up the great work!
 
Well, hopefully everyone shows up more often :) you guys are what inspire me to keep this thing going. My wife got a replacement design so I now have to start over and reroot it and what not.
 
Bad news guys. I will be losing the evo design pretty soon. I am going to try and get you guys one last working build with at least otg working.
It's someone wants to take it over from me feel free to email me. I will definitely give you guys the heads up when that time is here and I will leave all current and previous builds up at my bitbucket all they will still be available.
 
Sorry to hear! Love your Kernel just needs overclocking and voltage control and it would be awesome! Hope you have time for that!
 
New build at sdx, usb otg. If you try out keep in mind that you still need to supply external power via powered usb hub or having an adapter with a power cable.

Oh yeah. Good news. I get to keep the phone so buttered toast for all.
 
hi been running the first kernel. works great. took along time for the battery to settle in but seems to work good after that. thanks for the work you are doing.

Otg let's your phone see and read usb devices such as flash drives, usb hard drives and even keyboards and mice. With this kernel you will need to supply external power via a powered hub or an adapter that has a power cable.
Please let me know if this kernel works because I have already had a report of a non boot.
