Root [KERNEL][EVOV] Jmz EvoV Kernel 20120902

So this kernel doesn't have kernel set / based MPDECISION and THERMALD right?

I hope you don't include it cause that's a real performance killer and defeats the purpose of an Overclock Kernel

Noticed one core is asleep on mobz Rom, after putting this on, will it always sleep or do I need to do something to wake it up?

LAG???? I've never seen my Rom lag with Power Kernel the only reason there would be lag is if another kernel was installed and it impacted performance like Anthrax...........
I don't even use anthrax anymore, to many bugs, to many reboots, makes any rom lag like crazy, imo.

That's why i use Power Kernel............. No offence JMZ

EDIT: 1.2Ghz with True Dual Core not enough? just put it on Performance Governor

On Anthrax 3.2.8 and 3.2.9, on Mobz, I've had zero reboots and is completely stable for me. Oc'd to 1.51 GHz, s2w w/capacitive lights, vsync on. No lag whatsoever and insane fluidity. Must just be the way I have the init.d scripts set up. This is the best set up I've ever had on any phone. Ever.

But the 2nd Core sleeps most of the Time............ I know one of the biggest reason i got this phone was cause its Dual Core -_- if only one Core is on its not any better then a Triumph IMO

Was acting up on the rom's i was using it, not all the time to be honest, but on most times it did, maybe my phone didn't like it, now im using Mac kernel on jmz's sense 4 rom, and it runs flawless for the last 2 days.

When i run mobster rom i use power kernel it does the job for me, no complaints at all.

i would like to test jmz's kernel, but my hboot is not compatible :(

For power saving. I have it set up to kick on the 2nd core after 30% workload holding for 100 ms. There's NO lag anywhere and battery life significantly increased. ;)

No, I'd always user Power Kernel. And being the lag hunter I am, I always noticed there was a tad bit of lag while moving from first app page to widgets. Then again, I could've been using an outdated version of Power Kernel. Newest version was included in the ROM, right?

Yup with updated modules

I'm a little new to the Hboot stuff. The only hboot I ever flashed was the one in Leslie Ann's thread and when I checked it says 1.04 eng hboot. How do I flash a new hboot and what are the differences between the three that the OP mentioned are compatible with his kernel?

Look for the original hboot downgrade thread might be a page or two back, there's a link to the original 1.57 hboot there, don't know where to find 1.58 which is the newest, at work so can't provide links, sorry

Interesting turn of events....can anyone not on the 1.57, 1.58, or JB HBOOT flash this for me? I just booted cm10 on the older hboot with this kernel. Can anyone else confirm booting on the downgraded hboot?

Umm.. I don't really know about Hboot stuff and was asking questions earlier on here and different threads (only to be ignored) but I tried flashing and I have 1.04 eng hboot? It seems to work fine.

That's what I was wanting to know. Can you confirm in About it says jmz@gooey?

On another note: Does anyone have any good undervolting numbers? Also I guess I might as well ask one more time. Is hboot 1.04 the same as 1.40? Thanks.

What do you do to under volt?
Because CPU Master doesn't work for me to under volt but overclock works
