Root Kernel Flash Gone Bad

Malhavoc

Newbie
I tried to update my kernel to Dark Core 2.6, and obviously did something wrong.
I used the SGS Kernel Flasher, and backed up a copy of the old kernel.

When the phone tried to reboot it would display the screen with the model number, and then the screen went all multi-coloured. It then goes back to the model number screen, then back to the multi-colour problem (and this keeps repeating).

Is there any way to recover from this? :(

Thanks in advance :)

I don't think this kernel is meant for the vibrant. Isn't this a gingerbread kernel for the i9000? You need to flash a gingerbread bootloader to get rid of the "rainbow" screen.

What buttons are you holding down to get into download mode? I think with mind you need to hold volume up and power button if you are on gingerbread.

Thanks Dattack, :)

Yeah, I realized after that I posted this in the wrong forum (my carrier labelled the phone "Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant" to be confusing).

Do you know where I could find a bootloader?
